Please join us for First Friday featuring works by Master Goldsmith Carla Bissinger. This is a one-night-only event that you won’t want to miss.
I am a Goldsmith from Berlin/Germany, now living in Missoula/Montana. I love colors and finding interesting combinations. Shapes also fascinate me, especially organic figures shaped by the patient work of water or wind -pebbles; trees; driftwood-, or the beautiful shapes of plants and sealife. That's why I mostly find my inspiration in nature. But also modern architecture, found objects such as rusty machine parts, or interesting silhouettes or shadows of structures are inspiring to me. Everything that was allowed to grow organically has a deep beauty to it. Also my jewelry was developed in a process that took time. My themes are the rhythms of the natural world and the beauty and comfort within it. It makes me happy to make jewelry and to make the wearer happy.
Bridget Miller is an artist based out of beautiful Missoula, MT. Born and raised in Montana she is inspired by the wilderness, landscapes, and culture of her homeland. Each piece of jewelry she makes reflects the elements of her surroundings focusing on natural elements. She thrives on positive impacts that creativity cultivates both on herself and those that wear her jewelry.

I grew up in Rochester, NY. My mother, an artist and innovator, taught me to make 'something from nothing' and the value of filling void with beauty. I studied Photojournalism in Omaha and focused on combining Art, Journalism, and Sociology.
I traveled with only a backpack. I traveled again.
I collected jewelry.
I found home in the mountains and began to explore and appreciate copper as a grounding and dynamic medium.
Connecting with other artists has been essential for my creative evolution.
For me, creating is my mind dancing with my soul. I expand. My world expands. My mind is color.
EiC Jewelry was born in Missoula, Montana in February 2012.
All pieces are designed and handmade in Missoula. Inspiration for new designs arise from life experiences. EiC Jewelry celebrates the patina oxidation process on copper. The patinas are made from a mineral based recipe, and sealed to preserve color.
Join us for the opening reception of Ever Changing Never Changing by Rebecca Kelley. This months show will feature jewelry designs made out of Poppy Seeds!
Heroinemade began in Missoula shortly after the birth of my son. I had a small collection of poppy seed heads that I inexplicably felt attached to and time on my hands that I was not able to spend on my pre-baby hobbies. I took some wire wrapping classes at Bathing Beauties Beads and started following my hunch that poppy seed heads could be made into earrings. I was right. 3 years later I have made countless pairs of very differing earrings and also started making necklaces for people out of stones and other objects that I or they have found. I recently designed a website for all my work: www.heroinemade.com. Check it out and get in touch if there is something I can make for you!

"Intention" by McKenna Klein will focus on hand-carved pendants and charms that embody the enhancement of nature's spiritual properties as told by Druid and Astrological methodologies. Each design is a personalized Celtic knot, to promote 1 to 3 particular aspects of the spiritual properties of each and every material in use. The intention behind each piece is to provide change when it is needed, growth when it is wanted, and most importantly to act as a transfer of focused, malleable energy from the giver to the receiver. All my materials come from nature, and I continuously attempt to acquire them in their purest elemental forms: stone, metal, wood, and herbs.

Bridging the Gap: We're All Wild
"I explore creation in all its forms: human life, the natural world, the animal world. I am drawn to vivid, vital colors and textures; the essences of places are what move me. With my camera I strive to capture flashes of beauty wherever I happen to find myself, at home or abroad.
My jewelry-making grew organically out of my work as a photographer; on photography assignments I have collected stones and beads from countries around the world. They too are records of a presence that moves through us. All of my artwork is an expression of my curiosity and love for the world with all its diversity."
